Cast Bios

ALLISON BUTLER (Gum Chompin’ Diva/Jeremy the Squirrel) Allison is in 7th grade at The Frankfort Christian Academy. This is her first performance with LCT. In the past, she has been in Murder in Manaheim Mansion, Aristocats (once as Toulouse and once as Scat Cat), King Arthur’s Quest, Newsies, and Aladdin. Allison loves to read and sing!

ERIN BYLUND (Mrs. Teavee) Erin is excited to be in her 6th summer family musical! One favorite past role is when everyone had to call her “queen” in Cinderella. If she were a chocolate bar, she says she would be mint, because she’s so cool. Her kids disagree and say it would be full of nuts.

JOSHUA BYLUND (Mr. Salt) Joshua studies theater at the University of Kentucky. Previous roles include Jack in Newsies, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast (both at Lafayette), and Prince in Cinderella at LCT. If he were a chocolate bar, he’d be 85% cocoa with Pink Himalayan Sea Salt inclusions. Obviously.

NATHAN BYLUND (Charlie Bucket) Nathan will be a junior at Lafayette in SCAPA voice and pre-engineering. Previous roles include teen dance ensemble in The Music Man and Old Man in Lafayette’s SETC winning production of James and the Giant Peach. If he were a chocolate bar, he’d be caramel, because he’s smooth, sweet, and lovable.

BELLA CELESTINO (Gum Chompin’ Diva/Jeremee the Squirrel) This is Bella’s first production at LCT. She has participated in several productions at The Frankfort Christian Academy, where she will be a freshman next year. In addition to theatre, she also enjoys volleyball, soccer, archery and playing the violin. Bella is grateful for the opportunities God has given her.

HENRY TATE DICK (Dance Captain/Oompzempic the Oompa Loompa) Henry Tate has performed with many theatre companies on- and off-stage. He trains in all kinds of dance including ballet, tap, contemporary, and musical theatre. He has performed in many shows at Lexington Children’s Theatre, and he can’t wait for you to see the show!

KING EL-AMIN (Augustus Gloop) King El-Amin is an eighth grader at The Lexington School. He previously performed in Xanadu and The Little Mermaid Jr., and was recently cast as Kristoff in Frozen Jr.. A violinist and pianist, King is also a multidisciplinary artist, state-ranked speech competitor, and 2026 Governor’s Youth Service Award recipient.

ASHTYN GENTRY (Violet Beauregarde) This is Ashtyn Gentry’s first production at LCT. She is an upcoming freshman. Her most recent roles has been Beetlejuice JR ( Miss Argentina) & Shrek the musical ( Donkey) . She would like to thank the cast, & her family & friends. she hopes you enjoy the show!

LAUREN GOODWIN (Marsha Mallow the Reporter/Jerimmi the Squirrel) Lauren is thrilled to be a part of the Summer Family Musical! Lauren just graduated from SCAPA Lafayette and is attending Lipscomb University in the fall with a major in Theatre Education! Lauren hopes you enjoy the factory!

JADA GREENLEE (Oomp There It Is the Oompa Loompa) Jada Greenlee is a senior theatre major in the SCAPA program, studying from 4th to 8th grade. Jada has performed in several shows, including The Music Man, and SETC winner James and the Giant Peach. She is studying acting at SCAD(ATL) this coming fall.

LOGAN GWYNN (Willy Wonka) Logan Gwynn graduated Lafayette High School as a SCAPA Drama Major. He’s going to college at Belmont University, majoring in Theatre Education! His recent productions at LCT include Elf Jr. (Buddy) and Go, Dog. Go! (Red Dog). He’s excited to welcome you to the nut room!

ALICIA HENNING (Mrs. Gloop) Alicia is excited to be back at LCT after 27 years away. She has taught theatre at P.L. Dunbar High for 24 years and has appeared in lots of Shakespeare plays and other shows in Lexington. She has 4 cool kids and a rock-n-roll husband who she loves a lot!

IRIS HENNING (Gum Chompin’ Diva/Jeromie the Squirrel/Oompa-Toompa the Oompa Loopa) Iris just graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and will pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre at Kent State this fall. Iris has been performing her whole life. Some favorite roles include Velma in Chicago, both Cady and Janis in Mean Girls, and Elsa in Frozen.

BROOKE JACKSON (Mrs. Bucket) Brooke is excited to share the stage with her daughter, Ellery. She’s been lucky to create with artists across Lexington as an actor and director. She was last seen in LCT’s Seussical as Mayzie. She loves her job in the Dunbar library. She thanks her biggest fans, Aaron and Halle.

ELLERY JACKSON (Kids Chorus) Ellery is excited for her first show at LCT! She has grown up in the Dunbar theatre alongside her mom, fostering a love of art—visual art, dance, writing, singing, and acting. She will enter 3rd grade next year. She sends love to her biggest supporters, Dad and Halle.

JENNIFER KERN (Grandma Josephine) Jennifer is a middle school English teacher at The Frankfort Christian Academy. This is her first performance with LCT, and her first time on stage since 1992! She has worked as the music director for several productions. Jennifer enjoys singing, playing the piano, reading, and outings with her family!

BLAKE MARTIN (Grandpa Joe) Blake Martin is an upcoming senior at Lafayette High School and is a theatre major at SCAPA. He is so excited to perform for you! You may have seen him previously in James and the Giant Peach (Grasshopper), and The Music Man (Major Shinn) at Lafayette. He was also in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. (Santa Claus) here at LCT! Welcome to the chocolate factory! 

MATT MONTGOMERY (Grandpa George) Matt Montgomery returns for his fourth Summer Family Musical at LCT. Thrilled to share the stage again with his daughter Siena, he proudly embraces a role requiring him to stay in bed—finally aligning perfectly with his natural talents and long-ignored dance limitations.

SIENA MONTGOMERY (Veruca Salt) Siena is a rising junior in the SCAPA Drama and pre-engineering programs at Lafayette High School. This is her 8th show with Lexington Children’s Theatre. Siena is active in LCT’s Companies program, apprentices for summer theater school, and has also participated in the Youth Advisory Board.

LIONEL MORTON (Mr. Beauregarde) Lionel is thrilled to portray Mr. Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is his 10th production at Lexington Children’s Theatre, most recently appearing in Shrek the Musical (2022). A rising junior at the University of Kentucky, Lionel enjoys time with family and thanks his mother for her support.

LAURA RAGSDALE (Cherry Sundae the Reporter) Laura is a Bible and theatre teacher at The Frankfort Christian Academy. She has directed approximately 20 plays and musicals at TFCA. This is her third summer family musical at LCT. Her dream role is to play Miss Hannigan in Annie.

MACY RAGSDALE (Kids Chorus) Macy Ragsdale is a 10th grader at the Frankfort Christian Academy. She has done two Summer Family musicals and one winter musical at LCT, and many others at her school. She enjoys being on the Future Problem-Solving team in her Academic Team and reading.

MABEL RANSOM (Gum Chompin’ Diva/Jeremey Squirrel) Mabel is a sixth grade band (oboe) major at SCAPA. She has performed with SCAPA in Frozen, Jr and Hans Christian Anderson, Jr (ensemble) and with Lafayette in Anything Goes (featured dancer). Mabel spends her days dancing, reading, singing & playing oboe and piano. She never wants to grow up!

PHILIP RITCHIE (Mike Teavee) Philip Ritchie will be a senior at Lafayette High School next year. He has been in many shows at the Lexington Children’s Theatre including shows such as Go Dog Go! (Green Dog), Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Charlie), Elf Jr. (Mr. Greenway), and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr (Mr. Donner).

FLORA SCIFRES (Oomp-zilla the Oompa Loompa)

MECKAELA SELLARS (Mrs. Green) Meckaela is thrilled to be making her theatrical debut in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Although new to the stage, she has appeared in the Lifetime movie A Welcome Home Christmas and in numerous commercials. She’s especially excited to share this adventure with her daughter, Londonrose, who is also part of the cast. When not rehearsing, she can usually be found in her garden, working on a creative project, or convincing herself that she definitely has room for one more plant.

LONDONROSE SELLARS (Kids Chorus) Londonrose Sellars is thrilled to return to the LCT stage for her third production. Audiences may recognize her from Charlotte’s Web (Judge) and Rudolph Jr. (Reporter). Since beginning her acting journey at age four, Londonrose has appeared in numerous film, television, and commercial productions, including Harriet alongside Cynthia Erivo, recurring roles on two Tyler Perry television series, and commercials for Disney World, Nationwide, Sky Zone, and others. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue growing as a performer and hopes you enjoy the show.

CADENCE STONEBURNER (And I Oomp (sksk) the Oompa Loompa) Cadence is an incoming sophomore involved in both her high school and LCT theater. She has performed in 6 LCT shows, recently playing Hermey in Rudolph. She loves hanging out with her friends and is excited for summer with her LCT fam while oompa-loompaing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!

AYAHA SUZUKI (Oomp I Did It Again the Oompa Loompa) Ayaha is a rising 7th grader and is excited to be in her 2nd show with LCT! Her most recent and favorite show was Cinderella (Mouse). She also loves to hang out with her friends and her cat, dance, and eat Nerds Gummy Clusters (or any kind of sour candy). Enjoy!

TYLER TERRELL (Oompa-licious the Oompa Loompa)

MAXWELL WILLOUGHBY (Kids Chorus) Maxwell is a rising 8th grader in the VAPA program at Lexington Middle School. He’s performed with LCT in Elf Jr. (Marshmellow Elf) and Rudolph Jr (Cowboy) and is excited to be cast for his first summer family musical alongside his mom! He loves board games, video games, and manga!

RUTH WILLOUGHBY (Grandma Georgina) Ruth is excited to be in her first LCT show! She is thrilled to be performing in this show with her son, Maxwell. Her main hobby is coordination of logistics and execution of transportation of non-adults to various activities! She is also an accomplished rhinestoner. Her favorite quote: “let them.”

SOPHIA ZENDHER (Gum Chompin’ Diva/Boom-pa the Oompa Loompa) Sophia is a student at Lafayette high school. She has previously performed in many shows with Sora aerial arts. This is her first LCT performance and she would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her.

Staff and Production Teams Bios

ZOIE L. ALBRECHT (Summer Teaching Artist) Zoie is ecstatic to be returning for her third summer at LCT. She has a Theatre degree from the University of Kentucky and has experience working with young people ages 0-18. She is extremely passionate about the arts being both a learning experience and a safe space for young people.

RHONDA BELL (Education Director) Rhonda is excited to continue her journey at LCT as Education Director. She holds an MA in Theatre from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and a BA from Berea College. Rhonda enjoys driving her car, watching cartoons, and having lively debates with her students.

OCTAVIA BIGGS (Director of Shooting Stars Youtheatre) Tavia has worked hard over the last 19 years to bring children’s theatre to Eastern Kentucky. She believes strongly that all children have the ability to be creative and through that creativity will discover the gifts they possess. She would like to thank LCT and the W. Paul and Lucille C. Little Foundation!

KATELYN (KAT) CARTER (Summer Teaching Artist) Katelyn Carter is a recent graduate from Bellarmine University, and is excited to be with Lexington Children’s Theatre for the first time this summer! While at university, Katelyn dabbled in acting, lighting work, and consent-based work. She loves to create all sorts of theatre– from the serious to the zany.

DAKOTA ROSE CHEN (Summer Teaching Artist) Dakota Rose graduated from Piedmont University with a B.A. in Musical Theatre where she worked as a performer, costumer, director, and more. Additionally, she has experience as a performer, event coordinator, costume repairman, and photographer due to time with Enchanted Events GA. Dakota is looking forward to working with LCT!

KAITLIN (K.C) CHEYENNE (Education Associate) Kaitlin “K.C” Cheyenne serves as the Education Associate at Lexington Children’s Theatre. They hold a BA in Theatre from Berea College, where they focused on creating inclusive, diverse and accessible spaces. Their passion lies in arts education, and they are thrilled to encourage young peoples’ excitement for storytelling.

ASHLEE COLLINS (Development Director) Ashlee is a recent graduate of Commerce Lexington’s Leadership Lexington program. Her journey with LCT began in 2013 as a work study with Shooting Stars Youtheatre, LCT’s Satellite Theatre in Morehead, KY. After graduating she completed an Arts Administration internship in 2015 and was part of the Touring Company in the 15/16 season. Ashlee has worked with theatres all over the country, including Chicago Children’s Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, and most notably, with Broadway in Chicago as a marketing assistant during the first National Tour of Disney’s Aladdin!

KAITLYN DETSCHER (Summer Teaching Artist) Kaitlyn is a rising senior at Clemson University and is so excited to be working at LCT! Kaitlyn is studying lighting and stage management but has a deep passion for theatre education. She is stoked to work with the lovely young people of Lexington this summer!

DANI GARNER (Summer Teaching Artist) Dani’s journey with LCT started in education in 2015 and has continued through various roles over the years. Dani is immensely grateful to have the opportunity to serve the incredible young people in this community. Dani’s ultimate goal as an artist is to inspire young people to be the best artists and humans they can be.

GRACIE GUESS (Summer Teaching Artist) Gracie is a rising junior at Elon University as a Theatrical Design/Technology major on the Leadership Fellows Scholarship. In high school, she worked frequently in the Knoxville theater scene in lighting, camp counseling, and stage management. She is absolutely thrilled to be back at LCT for her second summer!

CHLOE HALLMAN (Summer Teaching Artist) Chloe Hallman, originally from Mills River, NC, relocated to Lexington after receiving their degree from Berea College. They’re a local playwright and stage manager making their teaching debut with LCT! A few of Chloe’s favorite shows they’ve stage managed are Eurydice, A Chorus Line, Alice by Heart, and Beetlejuice Jr.

EMILY HAMPTON (Costume Artist) Emily graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Theatre in 2020. She is passionate about costuming and the fiber arts!

MARIE HENDERSON (Costume Director) Marie’s experience with LCT, and theatre altogether, began with a walk on roll at the age of 9.  She is delighted to have closed the circle of her theatrical experience by coming “home” to LCT as a staff member. 

JAIME HURT (Marketing and Sales Director) With over 20 years in arts marketing; Jaime connects communities through storytelling and creative collaboration. As Marketing and Sales Director at LCT, she captures moments that make theatre magical for children and families, expanding access to engaging, immersive experiences while embracing the joy of bringing stories to life. 

FINN HUTTO (Summer Teaching Artist) Finn (he/they) is beyond honored to return to LCT this summer! A teacher, writer, technician, and performer, Finn strives to soak up every bit of knowledge they can while providing representation and advocacy for transgender and disabled people in theatre.

JEREMY KISLING (Producing Artistic Director) Welcome to LCT! Jeremy has worked at Lexington Children’s Theatre for over 20 years and is a proud member of its staff. I hope this theatre is a place where you feel empowered, enriched, and emboldened. I am honored and humbled to work with such amazing and talented artists and individuals! Thank you for being here, for your support, and for being a part of the LCT Family.

MADDI KNOETTNER (Communications Manager) Maddi graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Communication Studies. She is a Double Gold Medalist of The United States Figure Skating Association and is a figure skating instructor over at the Lexington Ice Center. Maddi brings a unique blend of communication expertise and athletic achievements, and she is honored to showcase her diverse skills at Lexington Children’s Theatre!

HADLEY KOHM (Assistant Choreographer) Hadley is a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University. She has performed in SpongeBob (Ensemble), Elf (Security Guard/ Ensemble), and Cinderella (Cheese Merchants Wife/Dance Captain) with LCT. She is the assistant choreographer for Charlie and The Chocolate Factory and has had a blast choreographing this show! Grab some chocolate and enjoy!

FORREST LOEFFLER (Technical Associate) Forrest Loeffler is from Lexington, he has a BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University, and is currently Kentucky Chautauqua’s Abraham Lincoln performer. He has worked with Leeds Center for the Arts, Woodford Theatre, Adventure Theatre, Pioneer Playhouse, Athens West, and is happy to have added LCT to that list!

CALEB LUNSFORD (Shooting Stars Youth Theatre Assistant Director) Caleb is a teacher, painter, and arts education enthusiast from Harrodsburg, Kentucky. A graduate of Morehead State University, he is passionate about children’s theatre; striving to provide an outlet for creative expression. With a history in youth-based creative programs he aims to curate a safe space to learn and grow.

JESSICA PEARL MARSHALL (Music Director) Jessica Pearl Marshall is thrilled to return as Music Director for LCT’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! She holds a BA in Music from Berea College, where she was awarded multiple opportunities to travel internationally performing opera and musical theatre. She was featured in numerous performances at the University of Kentucky where she began her master’s degree, and has appeared in many productions throughout the region, most recently in The Lexington Theatre Company’s Fiddler on the Roof. In addition to performing, Jessica has served as Music Director for ten major productions and has worked as a music educator and Director of Performing Arts in Lexington for over a decade. She is currently pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hopes to positively impact lives through music, theater, and mental health advocacy. Jessica’s love for musical theatre began very young on this very stage, and she is grateful for this meaningful full-circle opportunity.

MARY ANN MULLINS (Bookkeeper) Mary Ann joined LCT in March 2024 as the bookkeeper and is delighted to be part of an organization that boosts creativity and imagination in young people. She brings 50+ years of bookkeeping experience with her. In her spare time, she loves adventures with her children and grandchildren and enjoys taking rides with her husband of 42 years with the top off of the Vette!

LAIKA MYERS (Charge Artist/Assistant Technical Director) Laika Myers graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Bowling Green State University with a specialization in Design and Technical Theatre. In her spare time, she loves to read and visit a new coffee shop, while on the clock she loves to use her artistry to share the magic of theatre with young audiences!

JADEN M. NAPIER (Summer Teaching Artist) Jaden Napier (he/they) is a theatre artist from Aiken, South Carolina. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in theatre at the University of South Carolina Aiken. This is his 3rd summer as a teaching artist at LCT, and he is excited to continue to inspire the youth of Lexington.

HABERLIN ROBERTS (Resident Costume Artist) Haberlin Roberts is a graduate of Transylvania University with a degree in Theatre. After graduation she interned with Endstation Theater in Virginia with a focus in costuming. Her recent theatre credits includes costuming (Best Christmas Pageant Ever), stage management (39 Steps, Miracle on 34th Street, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Annie) and acting (Into the Woods) with Woodford Community Theatre. As a child she adored watching productions at LCT and it feels full circle to be working on productions here now as an adult.

JEFF SACHS (Managing Director) Jeff Sachs (he/him) is an administrator, educator, and theatre artist dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to expand their horizons and connect with their community through live performance. He is the founding managing director of Kerfuffle, a theatre for the very young company based in Chicago. Originally from Long Island, Jeff has worked as an educator across the country with Chicago Public Schools, Imagination Stage, Childsplay, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. He is the playwright of Bookworms and has directed young people in devising new plays as well as a production of Mamma Mia! that he is particularly proud of. Jeff has a bachelor’s degree in Theatre from Northwestern University, a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre for Youth from Arizona State University, and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University.

DELANEY SALLEE (Sales Associate – Onsite) Delaney’s (she/they) love of theatre began as a child and carried her through many productions as both a student and professional. She has worked with the Singletary Center for the Arts and Pioneer Playhouse as a stage manager, and she is very excited to work with LCT! She has also worked in local libraries and loves a good book!

GABRIEL SLUSSER (Technical Director) Gabriel has worked throughout the southeast in positions ranging from sound engineer to lead electrician to shop foreman at theatres including Titusville Playhouse, Inc., Georgia Ensemble Theatre, and Buford Community Center. As LCT’s Technical Director, he facilitates the implementation of all scenic, lighting, audio, and projection elements for their season.

CHRIS SWANSON (Senior Sales Associate) Chris Swanson has been a theatre professional for the past 25 years. She is very excited to be joining the staff at LCT. She earned her MA and BA in Theatre and Communications from Morehead State. Her past credits include Bat Boy the musical and Book of Days. 

KATE TAYLER (Production Stage Manager) Kate Tayler graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bowling Green State University in Design & Technical Theatre. She is originally from Monroe, Michigan. Kate loves spending time with her cats and her husband, reading, keeping up on all things Taylor Swift, taking classes at Pure Barre, and working with young people.

MATTIE WASHBURN (Summer Teaching Artist) Mattie Washburn (she/her) is overjoyed to be a part of LCT’s 2026 Summer Teaching Artists! Mattie adores teaching, her favorite thing is watching young people explore, experience, and succeed in theatre. Mattie is absolutely excited to work with all of the stunning, amazing, and wonderful students here at LCT!
