Lexington Children's Theatre wants to help teachers enhance their student's education in a variety of ways.

Bring students to a LIVE performances or schedule one of our in-school Tour Shows and introduce them to professional compelling theatre which explores books and subjects they are studying.

Bring in one of our Theatre In Education performances and teach them valuable lessons (such as recycling or bullying) through a theatrical experience tied with a workshop.

Or bring in one of our one day workshops or in school weeklong residencies and let us help teach one of your subjects like weather or the westward movement through drama!

EASE: Our adminstrative and theater staff make your planning easy.

COST: We are affordable. Prices range from $6.25 to $6.75 for a theatre ticket. Prices start at $675 for an In School Tour Show. And our workshops and residencies work on your school's budget! Plus for field trip to our theare there is ticket subsidy available for students in the Free & Reduced lunch program through the Toyota Ticket Subsidy Program.

CONTENT: Our plays are typically based in great children’s literature, with adaptations of books teachers are using in their classrooms and which families are reading at home.

RESOURCES: Our staff is dedicated to providing you with education resources with any Drama Experience you have with us. We make sure Kentucky Core Content We provide educational Play Guides to accompany every performance you will see that includes things you can do before and after your field trip. Our workshops are written and tailored to your needs!
